    hi, new to site. are 802 8g drivers worth getting over 807 a or 808 a? I see some of you crossing model 19's over at 500 hz or 800 hz what differences are you hearing? also what is the difference between 416 a and 416 b thank you. gene

    The "G" had the largest Alnico V magnet Altec built for the small driver. It also had a very light diaphragm not used in earlier models - very delicate, but outstanding in how well it sounds.

    The later small drivers using Ceramic V were as good or better than the "G", but not all of them had the lighter diaphragm.

    Hi Todd,

    These super light diaphragms have been mentioned in several recent postings. Do they have a part number? You mentioned that Bill at GPA was considering producing some of these. If I were talk to him what would I ask for? While I'm at it, do you have an update on the Model 19 SuperCrossover??? I'd like a pair of those, too!
